Magic Haiti

Our beloved library had its annual picnic two weeks ago. I will soon write about the library but this time I just wanted to share some pictures of the incredibly beautiful grass that we found on the property. It was PURPLE! Apparently it only happens at this time of the year, and it lasts for 10 days or so, then it turns brown. You can look up the science behind it in Wikipedia under "Chrysopogon zizanioides" but I prefer to think of it as magic.
